DCTC Foundation
The Dakota County Technical College Foundation
was established in 1983 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to provide
an avenue to receive gifts and grants for the benefit of DCTC and its
students. The mission of the DCTC Foundation is to support the college’s
mission, education for employment, by providing resource support for students,
the college, and the programs. The Foundation is governed by up to 14
Board of Directors members.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has generated more than $2,725,594.00 in financial assistance for students, built a general endowment fund, and established private endowment funds. The Foundation has also received in-kind donations for equipment, tools, and supplies designated for use in many of the college’s programs.
While pursuing their educational goals, many Dakota County Technical College students face ever-increasing financial challenges. Annually, more than 400 students have received additional financial support from the Foundation to handle the burden of tuition, books, transportation, and unanticipated expenses. Contributions help provide students a fresh start in becoming self-sufficient and offer them an opportunity to become further educated and gainfully employed.
