Students from DCTC's Auto Body Collision Technology and the GM Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) programs participated in the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) of Minnesota's annual Lights On For Safety program on October 6.
The event was held in cooperation with the Minnesota State Patrol at eight sites throughout Minnesota. The DCTC students participated at the AAA Minnesota/Iowa site in Burnsville.
The DCTC students, along with AASP-member technicians, conducted free inspections and replacement of exterior vehicle light bulbs and headlamps. Motorists were asked to provide non-perishable food items for a local food shelf in exchange for the bulb check and replacement.
