Message from the President

Welcome to Dakota County Technical College (DCTC). The purpose of this college is to prepare our students for employment and for life. We are very much student-oriented, and we recognize our students, with their individual abilities, interests, and talents, as the cornerstone of this college.

Our main campus is located in Rosemount, Minnesota, just a half-hour from the Twin Cities. We also have two other conveniently-located sites in Apple Valley and Eagan.

We serve almost 15,000 students per year at this college, with nearly 5,000 students enrolled in regular credit courses and almost 10,000 students enrolled in customized training hour-based courses.

DCTC has formed partnerships to train students for skilled professions with a number of businesses and industries, including UPS, 3M, General Motors, Lloyd's Barbecue, St. Jude-Daig Medical, and K-Mart. We work with these companies to ensure that our students receive the most up-to-date training available and that students leave DCTC with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce and succeed in their chosen field.
