Coaching & Mentoring
The Coaching Consortium
Coaching is for individuals and teams. The coaching relationship begins with an initial interview. The coach meets with the individual or the team leader to explore opportunities and challenges. With individuals, assessments may be used as part of the discovery process, such as:
- DiSC
- MBTI
- Social Styles
- Multi-rater (360) feedback
- For teams, interviews or cultural assessments may be done.
The individual and the coach, or the team leader and coach, define the scope of the coaching, set goals and identify outcomes. Coaching sessions are scheduled regularly:
- Individual in-person or telephone sessions are 45-60 minutes
- Team sessions are 2-hour, half-day or full-day
In-between sessions, the individual or the team work on specific actions to further their progress. The duration of the coaching relationship varies by individual but a 4-6 month commitment is recommended. For teams, the timeframe is determined by the desired outcomes.
