Student Life
Student Life can enhance the DCTC experience by providing avenues to build your resume, expand your network, and make a difference! Student Life is funded through the Student Senate and activity fee and encompasses student clubs and organizations, athletics, and other campus activities. All students are encouraged to participate in Student Life activities!
All students currently enrolled at DCTC are eligible to participate in DCTC sponsored clubs, organizations & activities—except for Phi Theta Kappa, commonly known as PTK, and varsity athletics.
Please, visit Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and Go Blue Knights for membership requirements.

Student Life Center
The Student Life Center offers students a place to relax, socialize, or study between classes. In the Student Life Center you will find computer stations, board games, a pool table, dart board, TV, meeting space for clubs, the Veterans Resource Center, and the Student Senate office. The Student Life Center is located in Room 1-300.

Wellness Center
The Wellness Center is a workout facility on campus that is free of charge for students, faculty, and staff to use. The center provides a variety of weight machines, cardio machines, and free weights. To utilize the center, students must be currently enrolled in the college. The Wellness Center is located in Room 1-704D.

Blue Knights Varsity Athletics
DCTC offers many opportunities for students to participate in varsity athletics. A member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, or NJCAA, DCTC offers varsity competition in the following:
Men's
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Soccer
Women's
- Fastpitch Softball
- Soccer
- Volleyball
DCTC participates in NJCAA Division II for baseball, fastpitch softball, volleyball and men's basketball. The DCTC women's soccer and men's soccer teams compete in NJCAA Division I. All teams are independent members of NJCAA Region XIII. DCTC offers athletic scholarships (grant in aid) for participation in varsity athletics as awarded by the head coach of a particular team. Students wishing to play varsity sports for DCTC should visit www.goblueknights.com, the Student Life Center, or contact the head coach of a team.
Home games for the Blue Knights are free to attend with student ID!

Why Get Involved in Student Life?
Build your resume
By being involved in Student Life, you will have opportunities to build skills employers are seeking! You can build your soft skills (leadership, communication, teamwork, etc.) by assisting with activities on campus or participating in a student club or sport. You may even gain experience in your field of study, as many Student Life opportunities correlate with academic programs.
Expand your network
Student Life provides many avenues to build your network. Whether it is other student leaders or DCTC employees, Student Life will expand your network with people who may know of job opportunities for you, can act as job references, or write you a letter of recommendation. Student Life also provides countless opportunities to create friendships with other students!
Make a difference
Whether it's initiating a project for campus improvement, participating in civic engagement activities, helping the Blue Knights make it to the post season, or attending meetings for clubs and organizations, you can make a difference on campus and in the community! Have an idea on how to improve the DCTC experience? Bring it to the Student Senate and work to implement it.
