Housing and Apartment Resource Lists
Student Services maintains housing and apartment resource lists for students based on information largely provided by the general public.
Section 42 Affordable Housing
Income-qualified students 18 years of age or older may apply for Section 42 Housing. Special rules for student residents apply. If you are a part-time student, you are exempt from the eligibility requirements.
If you are 18 years of age or older and a full-time student, you must meet ONE of the following special requirements to be eligible for our housing:
- Be married
- Have physical custody of your children if you are single
- Participate in the Job Training Partnership Act or other similar programs funded by Federal/State/Local sources
- Have a member of the household receiving MFIP

- Dakota County Technical College provides no additional housing services other than the resource lists.
- DCTC does not seek out facilities that may be available for rent to students.
- Housing and apartment resource lists are provided solely as a convenience to students.
- DCTC is not responsible for any matters relating to property leases or rental agreements.
- DCTC makes no inspections of the listed premises, has no knowledge of the listed premises and makes no representation regarding the liability or safety of listed premises or the neighborhood in which the premises are located.
- DCTC also has no knowledge of and makes no representation regarding whether the listed premises are in compliance with state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
