Developmental Education as Preparation for College Success
While developmental courses do not count toward degree requirements, they do provide academic instruction that prepares students for transfer-level general education courses.
Developmental courses also prepare for entry into occupational and technical programs by allowing students to update and upgrade their skills.
Success in both general education and technical training programs often depends on the development of college-level study skills. Students are advised to identify realistic and well-defined training and career plans at the earliest opportunity.
