Course Description
ENGL1700 : Selected Works in Literature: Jane Austen
This course emphasizes the review and analysis of several works of Jane Austen. In addition, students will be reading a biography of Jane Austen and a book written by Stephanie Barron in the style of Austen. We will study the similarities and differences in each author's writing and learn the historical aspects of Jane Austen's life. Also, included in the course content are critical reading and logical reasoning.
Prerequisites: Recommended CPT reading score over 25%.

Student Expectations:
Each student will spend at least 6 hours per week preparing for class. Attendance is critical in this class.
