HIST1200 : History of the U. S. from 1877 to the Present
This course will survey the major historical events of the United States from 1877 to the present. The text emphasizes political and social developments while the secondary readings provide a closer examination of this period's major themes.

Student Expectations:
The requirements of the class consist of four exams and four short essays. Each exam counts 12.5% toward the final grade and the essays count for 40%. Participation in discussions account for the remaining 10%
