Course Description
MATS1250 : Principles of Statistical Analysis
This course builds a solid foundation in statistical analysis by studying essential principles and working with sample data sets using Minitab statistical analysis software. Proficiency with algebra is assumed. Specific topics include descriptive and graphical statistics, fundamentals of counting and probability, probability distributions, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear regression, chi-square tests, ANOVA, and nonparametrics. Approximately 20 hours of computer time is required outside of class for Minitab proficiency. MnTC Goal 4
Prerequisites: Must pass CPT Arithmetic Test or successfully complete MATS 0600. Offered: Fall
