Tuition & Payment
Tuition and fees must be paid at the time of registration to guarantee enrollment. First-time students will be assessed a $20 application fee. If you are a returning student, tuition payment can be made online via your student account. Follow the steps below. The Summer Session 2008 and Fall Semester 2008 tuition payment plans will be available May 1, 2008.
NOTICE!
Please review the following policy for important information regarding Registration Cancellation for Non-Payment. Payment due date is May 19, 2008 for Summer Session 2008 and August 4, 2008 for Fall Semester 2008. Payments submitted to the Tuition Office may take up to three business days to post to your student account.

Online Payment Steps
Pay your tuition in full with a credit card (VISA or Master Card)
by the following steps:
- Access the online payment system.
- Enter your Student ID and pin number.
- Click on the Student tab.
- Click on the My Account link in the left margin.
- Click on the Pay Online link.
- Enter your credit card information.
Cost of Your Education
Dakota County Technical College's tuition rate is set yearly by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees and is subject to change without notice. Tuition is based upon the number of credits you would take in a given semester. (NOTE: All rates are tentative).

In addition to tuition, students pay the following fees for 2008-2009 (Tentative):

Please note that tuition and/or fees are subject to change by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees or Dakota County Technical College.
Books and course supplies are additional and vary for each student each semester depending on program and course selection. Complete payment information for tuition and fees is required each semester to confirm registration.
Residents 62 and older
The tuition for credit courses taken by Minnesota residents age 62 and older is $20.00 per credit, plus student fees. (Restrictions apply. See Registration)
Non-resident Reciprocity
Reciprocal tuition agreements exist between Minnesota/Wisconsin, Minnesota/North Dakota, Minnesota/South Dakota, and Minnesota/Manitoba. Students from Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, and Manitoba are charged the Minnesota state resident rate for tuition after the appropriate paperwork has been filed to establish residency. DCTC also accepts students from Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and Nebraska under the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Tuition is 150% of the resident rate. Those interested should note on their application the desire to enroll under the MSEP Program.
