Sometimes books aren't the only things that weigh students down.
To gauge your mental well-being, ask yourself the following questions:
- Have you lost pleasure in things you used to enjoy?
- Do you have trouble sleeping or eating?
- Does your mood fluctuate from overly high to hopeless?
- Are you keyed up and anxious all the time?
- Are you having nightmares about your past?
- Do you suffer from unexplained aches and pains?
To learn more about depressive disorders and the counseling services DCTC offers, stop by the information table in the Central Commons Tuesday, Oct. 6, or Thursday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Taking Green Deep
Sustainability is geared up and real at DCTC
For some organizations and institutions, the ideas of climate neutrality and reducing carbon footprints are simply glittery green tools in massive PR toolboxes. At DCTC, that is not the case.
Our college recently composed and submitted a Sustainability Action Plan to the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment that details how DCTC will achieve campus climate neutrality by the year 2020. In realizing that goal, the college will significantly reduce power consumption and carbon emissions while increasing the use of clean, renewable energy.
As we move forward into a sustainable future, DCTC will continue to build strong green partnerships with communities and businesses throughout our region. Green is not a mere buzzword at DCTC. When it comes to going green, we are committed to going deep.
