DCTC Blue Knight Wrestling Team Defeats St. Olaf

December 04 , 2006 -
Taking the victory in their first and only home match of the season, the DCTC Blue Knights wrestling squad showed great promise in their 35-17 win over St. Olaf.
Just over 100 fans attended the match, which also served as a benefit for Ed Treseler, father of DCTC Blue Knight wrestler Josh Treseler. Over $300 was raised to help offset the medical expenses associated with Treseler's cancer treatments.
"We are extremely please with the support and generosity of our fans," said DCTC Head Wrestling Coach Curt Foley. "It was a special evening that both the Treseler family and our fans will never forget."
DCTC wrestled well, winning six of the ten matches.
"I was very pleased with the way we wrestled. It was good to see us come out and set the tempo," said Foley. "We still have areas we need to improve, but I'm going to consider this victory a turning point for this program."
Next up, the DCTC Blue Knights will participate in the Dragon Open on Dec. 2 in Moorhead.
